Absolutely - actually currently its THE thing - use video to be the core of your content strategy and you'll find all other social media posts will follow from it - Gary Vaynerchuk is a US social media guru (a bit marmite but knows his stuff), in this link is a deck that outlines his approach to taking one video then creating 30 pieces of content relevant to each social media platform (transcribe the vid for blogs / articles, strip the audio as a podcast, take snippets for Insta Reel, TikTok, Linkedin, key phrases for Insta or FB post etc).

Yes its a thing so get over it and embrace it. Buy a decent microphone and a ring light and use your iphone in landscape mode.

Learn how to use You Tube and Tik Tok and start recording videos for Linked In. Grit your teeth and do it, the reach can be amazing.

This is me doing all of these things last week.....on-top of having to go on stage and do my 5 min pitch I had to turn into video editor but now I am getting as much out of it as possible: Rachel at Legal Geek hosted on Senate Talk

LOL, what kind of question is that?

Of *course* it's a thing but whether it's part of your sales/marketing suite depends entirely on what your product is and who the audience is.

The original Dropbox video explainer was a great case in point: without that I don't think anyone would have "got it" so quickly. And I'll bet as it's animated it cost them like $50 on Fiverr.

Video is however generally pretty expensive to do properly (and done badly it's a disaster).
